It's that time of year again - the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! This NSale is a great opportunity to buy brand new, name brand items at a MAJOR discount. Many of these brands rarely go on sale, especially in-season. Once the sale is over, everything goes back to full price! I like to take advantage of this sale to order closet staples for fall, like designer jeans, boots, and jackets. There are also great accessories, home, beauty, and even baby and mens items. Last year, I scored my Nuna infant carseat and stroller from the sale!
Dates to Know:
- August 4th – Icon level cardholders can shop
- August 7th – Ambassador level cardholders can shop
- August 10th – Influencers level cardholders can shop
- August 13th – Insiders AKA all Nordstrom cardholders are able to shop the sale before it opens to the public. Year after year the cardholders get the best picks! The most popular items {think Spanx, Barefoot Dreams, Vince Camuto, Free People, etc.} sell out before the sale is open to the public. So all you have to do is apply to be a Nordstrom card holder here if you don’t have one!
- August 19 – The sale is finally open to the public! Everyone and anyone can shop the sale!
Shopping Tips:
- Everything is FREE shipping and FREE returns. Therefore, checkout often so that your items don't sell out. Also, if you're unsure about sizing, order multiple sizes and keep the one that fits.
- If you have the Nordstrom Card, take advantage of your triple points days if you're making large purchases during the sale.
- You can preview the sale early - so go on the Nordstrom website or app and add the items you want to buy to your wishlist. This will help you go add those items to your cart quickly when you're able to shop.

CLOTHING:
Brands like Barefoot Dreams, Spanx, Patagonia, Barbour, Madewell, and Free People will sell out super fast! {If you click any of the prior links, it will take you to a filtered list of the items from those brands included in the sale.} I will definitely be trying to snag that leopard Barefoot Dreams cardigan. Also, the BEST maternity and non-maternity leggings are included in the sale this year! I lived in the maternity version last fall / winter - I even wore them to and from the hospital after giving birth.
SHOES:
I always take advantage of this sale to buy my staple boots / booties for the year. It's not often that you see brands like Ugg, Hunter, Sam Edelman, Tory Burch, Sorel, Adidas, and more on sale like this! I bought brown boots and booties during the sale last year, so this year I plan to get these Sam Edelman black knee high boots and Charles David black booties.
ACCESSORIES:
There are so many great accessories included this year from brands like Tory Burch, Madewell, Tumi, Gorjana, Kendra Scott, and Rayban! I have my eye on that leather rainbow stripe Madewell tote!
HOME:
The best part of the home sale is hands down Barefoot Dreams blankets - they RARELY go on sale! These blankets are a splurge but I can promise you that you won't find a more cozy, better quality blanket. They are simply the BEST. I'm hoping to score the leopard blanket this year!
Some of my favorite beauty brands, like Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, St. Tropez, and Living Proof are offering Nordstrom exclusive offers as part of the NSale! The Charlotte Tilbury "Pillow Talk" lipstick, lipliner, and gloss trio is an amazing deal. I wear "Pillow Talk" everyday - it's the perfect nude-ish pink color. Also, my go-to St. Tropez self tanner is on sale for $49 for the JUMBO size. That will last me months of applying several times a week.
BABY:
If you're expecting, brands like Nuna and Uppababy NEVER go on sale. I purchased the Nuna infant car seat and stroller during the sale last year and plan to purchase the Nuna Rava Convertible car seat and the Maxi Cosi compact travel stroller this year! This year, the Uppa Baby Stroller and Bassinet is also included in the sale - which is an incredible deal.
MEN:
Some of Fielding's favorite brands are included in the Men's sale this year like Patagonia, Nike, Barbour, Cole Haan, Peter Milar, On Running, and more! I plan to get Fielding the Barbour vest and a new pair of Cole Haan work shoes for his birthday in a couple months.
