Like many of you ladies, I spend Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, in the office. This means that we are dressed in work wear more than any other type of clothing, but for some reason it seems to be the hardest type to find and style.
For my corporate job, I need a good mix of both business casual and business professional looks, and it's important to me that the items I purchase are versatile and good quality without breaking the bank. When I'm styling my work looks, I like to pair classic staple pieces {like blazers} with trendier, fashion-forward items {like my pink velvet pumps}. This allows me to express my own personal style / love for fashion in the work place while still looking professional. Today, I am excited to share my favorite stores to purchase cute, affordable work wear plus a styled work look from each using my classic + trendy styling method described above!
If you've been following me for any time at all, you know that sale shopping is my jam. I am a bargain shopper and love nothing more than a good deal, but I also want to ensure that the items I invest in for work are durable and will last wash after wash. The stores I'm sharing with you today offer great affordable styles without sacrificing quality.
LOFT
You've probably noticed that LOFT is my go-to place for work clothes and casual clothes, alike. In fact, the skirt, sweater, and coat pictured above were all purchased at LOFT. They have the perfect items for all work settings, whether your dress code is casual, business professional, or something in between. One of the best things about LOFT is that they carry clothing for all body types. Not only do they have straight and curvy pants styles, they also carry petite, plus, tall, and even maternity sizes. LOFT also has amazing sales and y'all know how I love a good sale. {Pro Tip: NEVER EVER pay full price for anything at LOFT. If you wait a day or two, the item that you're wanting will be on sale, promise!}. Today, everything at LOFT is 50% off with code: WANT and it's the perfect time to stock up on work wear for 2019!
The outfit I styled below is a classic blazer + pants look adding blush and plaid details for a modern twist.

J.Crew Factory
Calling all my preppy ladies! If you love J.Crew but don't love J.Crew prices then J.Crew Factory is for you! They have almost identical styles as J.Crew but for a fraction of the price and comparable quality. Some of my favorite staple pieces come from J.Crew Factory. For example, their schoolboy blazer is the perfect, classic blazer. It's so versatile and only $69 {compared to $200+ at J.Crew}! The gold buttons on the front and sleeves add a cute touch, and they are all lined with striped fabric so that when you roll the sleeves it peeks through :) J.Crew Factory also has great shoes and jewelry. These leopard flats and this statement necklace are always on repeat in my work looks. Like LOFT, J.Crew Factory also has amazing sales - right now everything is 50% off!
I styled a look below incorporating my beloved schoolboy blazer, a striped midi skirt, and added a pop of color with a fuchsia bow-neck sweater.
I hope you find this post helpful in finding budget-friendly looks for the office and also gives you some inspiration to share your own personal style in the work place. Where are some of your favorite places to shop for work clothes?? Tell me in the comments below!

Express
Express has a whole section dedicated to women's business attire, which makes shopping for work so much easier! If your dress code is business professional, you know how expense suits can be. At Express, you can get an entire suit for around $200 {and if you wait long enough, they will go on sale!}. Express is my go-to for staple pieces like pants, blazers, and blouses.
I styled a look below with my favorite red tie waist pants, a classic black blouse with pearl details on the sleeves, and you know I had to throw in some leopard with that tote!

Target - A New Day Line
Y'all knew I couldn't write a blog post without mentioning Target, right? I am always impressed with Target's quality for their price point, particularly when it comes to the A New Day line. This is where I get all of my basics - think layering tanks / tees and cardigans in every style, color, and pattern you can think of! I am also obsessed with A New Day shoes. I have the Michaela Block Heel sandal in every color that Target offers. They're perfect for work, but can also be dressed up or down and are SO comfortable!
I decided to style a more casual work-look from Target, incorporating my favorite sandals, printed pants, and a classic chambray top. This faux leather backpack is great because it can also be worn as a tote!
