4 Trends for your Holiday Look

Fur, velvet, and sequins, oh my!  Last weekend, me and some fellow ATL bloggers got together for a fun photo session with Vici LLC Photography at The Hotel at Avalon.  We each styled our favorite Holiday look and between the five of us, we hit all the major trends this season.  Today, I am sharing 4 of my favorite Holiday trends perfect for your upcoming Christmas party or New Years Eve ensemble!

First, I want to introduce you to these lovely ladies.  From left to right:  Me {Brooke} from Smiles & Stripes, Anila from Peplum & Bubblegum, Anna from Life & Lattes, Kristin from Strollers & Stilettos, and Katie from The Sassy Kat.  You MUST go check out all of their blogs - I know you'll love them as much as I do!

One of my favorite things about this blogging world is all of the wonderful women you get the opportunity to meet.  I met all of these ladies {in person} for this first time last weekend, and any onlooker would have thought that we've known each other for years.  We had the BEST time taking photos, sharing tips and tricks, and just getting to know each other.  They are all beautiful inside and out, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have met them!

Okay, enough of the mushy stuff.  Back to my 4 favorite trends of the Holiday season:

1.  FUR

As you can see, fur was definitely a fan favorite for this Holiday shoot.  Throwing on a fur jacket or vest over your outfit really takes your look to a whole new, fabulous level.

Some furs can be quite an investment, but would you believe me if I told you that I found my white faux fur jacket for under $20?! You will never believe where I found it.....I picked this cutie up in the Target kid's section!  Yes, you read that right!  I'm wearing a size Large and it fits perfectly.  I linked some other cute, affordable faux fur vests and jackets below.

2.  VELVET

Anna wore this beautiful navy velvet jumpsuit that would be perfect for your upcoming Holiday party.  It has a flattering tie waist, comes in 2 colors, and is under $25!  Jumpsuits not your thing? You can rock the velvet trend in so many different ways.  Anything from dresses, tops, blazers, skirts, pants, and even shoes come in this beautiful fabric.  I linked some great options below.

3.  SEQUINS

You can never go wrong with sequins this time of year.  Kristin and Anila both wore AMAZING sequin dresses that would be perfect for NYE.  Even if you don't have a super glamorous NYE party to attend {Lord knows I don't}, you can still throw on a cute sequin tee with jeans or add a sequin clutch to your look to dress it up a bit for the occasion. I linked some other sequin items below that I'm loving right now.

4.  PLAID

It's no secret that the plaids start coming out along with the pumpkin spice lattes, but you typically see it styled casually with jeans, boots, and a puffer vest.  I absolutely LOVE how Katie dressed up her plaid top for her Holiday look.  I linked several other options below for dressing up plaid this season, with my favorite being these adorable plaid pumps that are under $30!

What is your favorite trend this season?? Tell me in the comments below!

Thanks so much to Rachael from Vici LLC Photography for spending the day with us and taking these amazing photos. Also, shoutout to The Hotel at Avalon for allowing us to takeover your beautiful lobby for our shoot.
