Midi Dresses Perfect For Your Next Wedding

Turn heads at your next wedding in this stunning midi dress!

Dress - Shoes - Earrings
It's finally Spring {even though it felt more like winter in ATL this weekend} and Wedding Season is in full bloom!  Midi dresses are all the rage right now and there's so many great styles perfect for wedding guests.  You may be wondering..."what's a midi dress?"  A midi dress is one that hits below the knee and above the ankle, typically mid-shin.  I used to be a little intimidated by midi length dresses...something I didn't think I could pull off.  I tended to stick with the classic mini and maxi dresses, but with a little experimentation on how to style a midi dress, it's now one of my go-to lengths. Today, I'm going to share my favorite midi dresses for wedding guests, as well as, a few tips on how to master the midi dress trend.

This midi dress is my new favorite dress!  I felt like I won the lotto when I stumbled upon it on one of the "Last Few" racks at Nordstrom.  As I was carrying it around the store, I had multiple ladies walk up to me and ask me where I found it and to let them know if I decided not to buy it.  After the third lady inquiring about the dress, I knew I needed to go straight to the check out! LOL!

This dress is so unique and is sure to turn heads at your next wedding or event!  I am in love with the paneling and beautiful geometric lace details.  Since the dress has a lot going on, I kept the shoes and accessories simple.  I paired it with my absolute favorite nude sandals and white tassel earrings for the perfect wedding guest look.

The dress is made by foxiedox - a designer I had never heard of until finding this gem of a dress.  All of their dresses are unique with beautiful lace details.  Shops more from this designer here.

Still unsure about how to wear a midi-dress?  Here's a couple things to keep in mind to nail the look:

Length is Key:
If you are on the shorter side, stick to a midi dress or skirt that hits just below the knee.  For taller ladies, any length will do as long as it doesn't go below your ankles {that goes into the maxi dress territory}.  You typically want a midi dress or skirt to hit mid-shin {this particular one is a little longer with the added lace detail on the hem}.  If you find a midi dress or skirt that you love but the length is not right, it's nothing that a quick trip to your tailor can't fix!

Heels are a Must:
If you want to rock a midi length dress or skirt, the most flattering footwear option is a pair of heels {both pumps and sandals look great!}.  It gives added height which elongates your frame.
